Problem: you need to move the software from one computer to another -
Version 11 only. Earlier versions not supported.
Solutions:
You have an installer from
a backup.
1. Use the last installer that you received (we did
ask you to back it up and we hope you did!) along with your serial number to install on the new
computer.
2. Register the software then uninstall from the old computer.
3. If you have an active Maintenance Plan, click on Help menu/Check for New
Version, then download and install the latest version. Save the installer in a
safe place.
You do not have an installer and you do have an active
maintenance plan:
1. On the old computer, click on Help menu, then
on Check for New Version. If you already uninstalled it from the old
computer, contact support by email with your
serial number and ask for a new download.
2. Click on a download link in the body of the
embedded window, your default web browser will open. Enter your login
credentials. They are shown below the Stop/Refresh/Print buttons in NetScanTools
Pro. Save the
installer and please back it up. Especially if you do not intend to renew your
maintenance.
3. Install on the new computer with your serial number.
4.
Register the software then uninstall from the old computer.
You
do not have an installer and your active maintenance plan has expired:
1. Contact support by email with your serial
number.
2. We may be able to send you the software version available when
your plan expired. Remember, backing up the installer is a good thing.
3. You will have to install and register the old
software version.
