The last Windows operating system this was known to work on was Windows XP. Use on newer operating systems at your own risk.
NetScanTools Pro 2000 was first released on July 1, 1999.
This version was also known as v1.0. Two subsequent major
revisions were made on January 12, 2000 (Release 2) and June
20, 2000 (Release 3). These corresponded to v2.0 and 3.0
respectively.
How to tell which release you
have. Start by looking at the About tab. If you
have Release 3, the top line on the tab will read
"NetScanTools Pro 2000 (tm) Release 3". If you have Release
2, the top line on the tab will read "NetScanTools Pro 2000
(tm) Release 2". If you do not see those words, you have the
original release, Release 1, which reads "NetScanTools Pro
2000 (tm) or "NetScanTools Pro 2000 (tm) Release 1". Another
way to tell is that Release 2 and 3 have a DHCP tab, Release
1 does not.
Release 1 Service Pack 9 (v1.9) is dated March
14, 2001. This service pack is cumulative and may
be applied to any older version of Release 1. THIS IS THE
FINAL SERVICE PACK FOR THIS RELEASE--please
upgrade to the latest version of NetScanTools Pro.
To determine if you need this service pack, start
NetScanTools Pro 2000 and check the release date on the
About tab in the upper left next to the logo icon. If your
release date is OLDER than the service pack date above, you
need to install this service pack. DO NOT attempt to install
this service pack on any versions that say "NetScanTools Pro
2000 (tm) Release 2 or Release 3" near the top of the About
tab--the service pack will refuse to update your software if
you try.
Download Service Pack 9 3606KB. To install, exit
NetScanTools Pro 2000 and run the service pack.
There is no additional support available for these old versions other than what is contained on this page and on the common issues page. Upgrade to the latest version here.
